Comkid (part 2)
– by Chirag Fifadra

; ; ; ; ; ; The next day, a Saturday, the police were standing in Dr. Srivastav’s office, taking statements from all of the employees who had been working in the office the previous day. Accompanying them were Comkid and Arjun, Dr. Srivastav’s son. He was about the same height as CK, and well built. He asked Inspector Pandya what the police had found out so far.
; ; ; ; ; ; “Not much, I’m afraid. It seems that a Mr. Vijay Mehta had come to see your father yesterday when he arrived. A few minutes later, they both left the building together. Apparently, there was no sign of force. We haven’t been able to get any fingerprints other than your father’s. This man was a true professional.”
; ; ; ; ; ; “Inspector, could I take a look in the desk?” asked CK.
; ; ; ; ; ; “Sure. We’ve already checked it.”
; ; ; ; ; ; “Thanks.”
; ; ; ; ; ; So saying, Comkid opened one of the drawers of the desk, but couldn’t find what he was looking for.
; ; ; ; ; ; “Thanks a lot, Inspector.” Then Comkid turned to Arjun. “I think we should talk outside.”
; ; ; ; ; ; After they left, Comkid said “I couldn’t find the transmitter in his desk. That means that he’s taken it with him.”
; ; ; ; ; ; “So?”
; ; ; ; ; ; “I can track him down.”
; ; ; ; ; ; “Are you sure?”
; ; ; ; ; ; “I’m sure. Now let’s go. We have to find him, don’t we?” Comkid had a gleam of excitement in his eye.
